Edumund:
I work on the system side most of the time but I still use RDi quite a bit
for maintaining the system. (I kinda stretch the remote systems views to
their limits at times)
Most of the developers I work with do want to see the visual explain
information. They may not have the authority (real or implied) to create
index objects but they do use it to help optimize how they write the SQL.
Those that do have authority to create index objects usually do so during
the development cycle.

1086 When I was discussing this with Mark Anderson he didn't think
that developers had the authority or interest or expertise to use
visual explain to optimize queries beyond noticing the need to index
certain tables. But I see 46 votes on this RFE. Are developers
making active use of Visual Explain?
performance so I have a great deal of interest in understanding Visual
Explain. Also, because I'm in a small group, authority isn't a problem.
