In Preferences, under Remote Systems, in the Files item, there is a checkbox for "Show hidden files" - this would be files with a period at the start of the name, usually.

I have that checked, so that I see these hidden things.

But today it seemed to work - so let's all ignore this one!!

Maybe things just took longer to get from one system to the other through RDi than I was expecting.

Smells like a bug. I can't imagine a preference that silently denies
