Hi Justin,

You either get your software through Passport OR through ESS, but not both.
What is most likely is that you used to order through ESS until v8 but then
it lapsed because ESS does not have the ability to send out reminders for
SWMA. Now that you ordered through Passport, you will get those reminders.
You already have the product downloaded, so don't bother with reinstalling
Installation Manager, just go to the Passport site and sign in and download
the activation kit and apply it.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Getting my RDi license (the saga continues...)
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I've been trying to get RDi 9.1 since June. We never got a renewal for our
maintenance and were expired. Our BP had been working on getting that
straightened out. In the meantime, I had to rebuild my PC, and I installed
the trial of 9.1 (assuming the license would come thru in time). My
Passport Advantage Proof of Entitlement came thru last week. The
accompanying instructions told me to download Installation Manager in order
to install RDi. I already had it installed, but I decided to humor them.
The new download wouldn't install since I already have Installation Manager
installed. I checked "Connect to Passport Advantage" in Installation
Manager and tried all of the options (Install, Update, Modify and Manage
Licenses), but none of them actually did anything.

I tried finding the license via ESS per Edmund's blog post (
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/blogs/49773f8f-a20d-4816-86f2-44a2d862dbc1/entry/how_to_get_activation_kit_if_you_did_not_order_the_product_from_passport?lang=en
), but it only shows me "RPG and COBOL Developer Tools for i V8". Does
that mean that we don't actually have RDi 9.1 yet? Do I need to actually
order it?
