Please mention that when you open the RFE.
We can persist this as a preference
So the preference would be 'Use free form declarations when generating
source'
Do we need a preference for 'Use free form calculations when generating
source'? Or is it OK for that to default to on, and have people uncheck
when they really want to stay with fixed calcs.

Hello Edmund,

That seems perfect. That is if the check-boxes persist so you don't
have to remember to check them each time. As it stands, you have to
remember to un-check the 'Generate free-form code' each time you use
the wizard. It always comes up selected...

I understand your requirement and it sounds like a good candidate for an
RFE.
I am thinking

Have 2 check boxes
'Generate free-form declarations' -> (if this checked, free-form calcs
automatically checked and grey) -> assumes 7.1 functionality
 'Generate free-form calculations'
If generate free-form declarations is NOT checked and free-form
calculations IS checked, then also generate /FREE /END-FREE

  Hello Edmund,

Yes Jeff pointed that out and it works ok - it just requires my
deleting the 'C' specs and adding the /Free and /End-Free each time.
I much prefer free format to the extent my O/S supports it.

I may just go back to V9.0.0.1. The only problem I had with it is
the help never worked right, but I seldom use help anyway. I had
hoped there was a compatibility setting or something that would let
me have my cake and eat it too... ;)

  Thanks!

Hi Rick
No problem, you will see a check box on the first page of the wizard to
'Generate free-form code'. Simply uncheck it.
