It seems that it will remember the bookmarked line as long as you don't
move off of it. Always hit Alt-Q to go to the other line in memory and
move off of that. I guess Wonky might have been the wrong word. Its
consistent but not intuitive.

Did some more experiments, and its kind of wonky.

Move to Position 1 - Hit CTRL-Q to set bookmark
Move to Position 2 - Hit Alt - Q takes you back to position 1. Repeats
alternate on position 1 and 2.
Move from position 1 to Position 3 - Hit Alt - Q takes you to position 2
and alternates between 2 and 3.

Start over and do it different:
Move to Position 1 - Hit CTRL-Q to set bookmark
Move to Position 2 - Hit Alt - Q takes you back to position 1. Repeats
alternate on position 1 and 2.
Move from position 2 to Position 3 - Hit Alt - Q takes you to position 1
and alternates between 1 and 3.

Darren,

Yes, that's the behavior i expect, and if you just press Ctrl-Q, the do
pageup a couple times and then Alt-Q it works like that. If i keep
pressing
Alt-Q it switches between the two locations. But... if do other things in
between, like paging up/down to a completely other location, or editing,
it
seems to loose the mark set with Ctrl-Q, and it brings me to another
(unrelated) location.

For me, it always works, but maybe not the way I'd expect. Hit CTRL-Q
to
set the bookmark. ALT-Q take you back to that mark, but hitting it
again
will take you back to the place where you hit the ALT-Q, and then it
seems
to toggle between those two points.

Hi,

For as long as i can remember the Ctrl-Q (set quickmark) and Alt-Q (go
to
quickmark) don't work properly or consistently. Sometimes it works
(Alt-Q
goes to the correct line where i last used Ctrl-Q) but many times it
brings
me to some other position. It seems that RDi has some trouble
"remembering"
the exact line.

Am i the only one who gets irritated about this at least 3 times a day,
or
is this a known issue.

Btw, a feature that works "sometimes" or "most of the times" does not
work
at all and is just confusing and takes me out of the flow, IMO.
