Yes. Even when the code executes to append the parenthesis.

Buck's right. I thought it might be a RDi situation, but it is probably not.

Are you trimming the 2000 character field before trying to append additional characters?

Otherwise you just get the first 2000 character of the concatenation (which would be the same as what you started with in the 200 character field)
