Hi Barry,
What I'd like to have is the ability to say I want the outline to only show me referenced fields and prototypes. I suppose "procedures" in the description is a little misleading. I go into a program and I want to know all of the procedures it uses from an external source. I'd think the easiest way is to have the outline filter out all of the unused prototypes.
Let's say a program uses 1 procedure from 3 service programs and each of those service programs exports 15 procedures. When I go look at the prototypes, I see 45 prototypes. I'd like to be able to filter down so I only see the 3 that the program is currently referencing. Same thing for fields/constants/data structures. A number of our service programs provide variables through a copybook. Some of our programs have copybooks that bring in a ton of variables. It'd be nice to, at a glance, see which ones are being used by the program.
I'm not saying everyone would find this beneficial, but I certainly would.
Thanks,

Kurt:
Concerning the 10188 RFE explanation, can't you filter out the procedures you want to use with compiler directives? (i.e., IF ABC THEN ....) I seems like you asking RDi to execute the program to determine which you will be using.
Just wondering.

Hi Matt,
Is this what you're asking for?
"I think it would quite helpful to be abler to see both in order of appearence program source."
If so, there's a button at the top of the Outline tab that has a down arrow and A/Z on it. That will switch between alphabetic order and source order.
As a sidenote, in terms of filters, I have this request out there:
Filter referenced/unreferenced
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=12353
And this RFE recently had a status change to say it's Planned for Future Release.
