Hi Chris,--
That workspace folder should contain both of the subfolders you mention.
The workspace folder isn't very small, so I'd recommend using the
"compressed folder" feature of windows or (even better) a tool like
7-zip to create your backup. The workspace folder can be copied and
moved around to wherever you want - you just have to let RDi know
which folder you want to work with. Taking regular backups of this
workspace folder can save your bacon sometimes and also give you a
little flexibility if you want to try something that might affect the way RDi (i.e. Eclipse) runs.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you so much for your reply!
When you say "copy your workspace", is that just the entire contents
of my "C:\Users\wyattc\IBM\rationalsdp\workspace" folder?
I've got two folders in there: .metadata and RemoteSystemsTempFiles.
Again, thanks.

Chris,
Before you get rid of your old PC, just copy your workspace to
somewhere that you can get to after you no longer have the system.
After you get RDi installed on your new PC, before you start it up,
copy the backup copy of your workspace to the new PC.
When you start RDi on the new PC, just point it to your restored
workspace. All you filters and connections will be there.

Hi all,on
So I'm getting a new work PC. I am currently running RDi 9.0.1. I
have two questions about this:
1. Is anyone running this on Window 8.1? If so, any gotchas?
2. In RSE, I have dozens of Filters (mostly IBM i member filters)
a couple of different Systems. Is there any way I can save thesefigured out.
and restore them to my new installation when it happens?
I haven't gotten too much "under the skin" of RDi; I just use it.
Thank you

I have a couple of members that behave this way. I don't really--
have the time to fiddle around with PMRs or anything like that. I
find the IBM Support site to be...problematic. (That's the nicest
thing I can
say.) Once I get to an actual person, they're really great.
