Just for kicks and giggles I switched to Terminal font to see what it
would look like (didn't like it) and in Terminal 10 it did indeed show a
character for the hex attribute. That font was too big so I switched to
Terminal 7 and found that there was no character for the hex attribute.
Going even smaller, Terminal 5 had a character but the font was too small
for these old eyes to read. I'm happy with Consolas 8 though so as far as
Terminal font goes, this is an FYI.

I changed font in LPEX Editor->Apperance to Terminal, it worked nicely,
at least for showing there is something in that position.
