I changed font in LPEX Editor->Apperance to Terminal, it worked nicely,
at least for showing there is something in that position.

Jeff,
Did you try the font: TERMINAL, it will show special characters...
It is the only font that shows the special characters. But, NOT as a
BLOCK, thanks to the way Microsoft re-did the Fonts to hide those
font:characters. Hex 22 will show a downward pointing Triangle with the
learning"TERMINAL"
PS. Why don't the use the power of RDi 9.0.1? Are they afraid of
code....new things? Do they like "Text ONLY" web-sites...
<LOL>
I really wish that Microsoft would have kept the fonts the same...
Oh well, out of my hands and out of my control, I am powerless...
NOTE: I always run remove the special characters when I edit my

Thanks Dave and Mike.
Unfortunately, there are a number of developers (and help desk

Another way is to select the zero width character (yes, LPEX lets
Clientdo that), copy it, and paste it into the Find/Replace dialog.

I use this command at the bottom of the LPEX editor to strip out
ax'22' values:
findText all replaceWith "" regularExpression \u0082
Unicode 0082 is the equivalent of EBCDIC hex 22. You can use the
right click "Source" -> "Hex Edit Line" feature to see Unicode to
EBCDIC CP037 hex equivalents.
I use this command looking for other special characters:
findText regularExpression [^\x20-\x7E]
