I renamed the workspace and kept it. Brought in last night's backup of the
workspace and now all seems well. Except for the Help issue which is the
PMR you're referring to.

I recommend following Doug's suggestions for a workaround.
You appear to have hit an unresolved issue in Eclipse.

I have added your situation to the Eclipse bug in the hopes we can get a
fix sooner.
Keep the corrupted workspace in case the Eclipse developers can use it to
resolve the problem because they haven't been able to reproduce it.

Not sure what all that means, but if it were me I would probably reboot my
PC, then start with -clean.
If it gets weird again then I would reboot, start with -clean to a new
workspace.

The
UPS monitoring service came back on it's own. I reestablished the

restart. It wouldn't shut down properly. I clicked the X in the

clicked
the X in the upper right of RDi and finally it went away. But it
wouldn't
restart. It said to see the log file.

So I decided to reboot and try it. Same error. Here is what was

to
the log file the last time I tried to restart:

I haven't the foggiest notion what I'm looking for. Other than the
bunch
of "Job found still running after platform shutdown" but since I
rebooted I
don't know what further I can do to shut anything down. Can anyone
help
me?

Thanks.
