Michael and Trevor,

I did not want to hi-jack any RFE nor do any harm to anybody and hence
hope that everybody feels good.

The links to the RFEs are:

Please notice that the pseudo code (posted a couple of minutes ago) best
describes what I want the TAB key work like.

Regards,

Thomas.

Thanks for re-posting your original issue. I, too, noticed it had been
hijacked by related issues. I've often been bit by the error list
selected text when I go to fix the error. Definitely post the link if
you
open an RFE for it. I'll be another voter.

Re: [WDSCI-L] Turn off auto-selecting of text from Error List

I'm re-posting this question because the original thread was
sidelined.

This is the scenario:
1) Do a compile, see errors in the Error List pane.
2) Double-click on an error to get the errors marked in the source
editor.
3) Return to editor and commence fixing source.
4) Select some source, but invariably forget that double-clicking in
the
Error List has already selected some source behind the scenes.
5) Curse because now a huge chunk of my program is selected.
6) Press Alt-U to unselect everything.
7) Re-select the source I really wanted to select.

Is there a way to stop this automatic source selection when
double-clicking in the Error List?
