Hi Vern,

Thank you for making things clear to everybody. I know that RDi has a
block mode and actually I wanted to say that it is the Eclipse Java editor
that lacks block mode.

I would already be lucky if I could configure the LPEX editor to work like
the Java editor. But it would be even better if it worked like the Java
editor + the block mode of Notepad++ (ALT+mouse or ALT+cursor_keys).

Hi Thomas

Just to be sure as to block mode - RDi has a block mode - I wasn't sure
whether you meant to say it doesn't while Notepad++ does, or that they
all do.

Alt-R to set a corner, then move to other corner and Alt-R again - of
just drag cursor to opposite corner.

There are lots of LPEX-style selection options - right-click when there
is a selection and we see all those Alt-? things like copy and move and
delete and line selection and block selection and filling a selection
and all that.

Cheers
Vern

"You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth"! These two selection modes,
standard mode and LPEX mode, drive me crazy, too. I often have to
switch
between Java and RPG. Since I always forget that LPEX mode, I also
forget
to press ALT-u before starting to fix the error. I wished I could
configure the LPEX editor to work like most of all editors I know,
preferably the Eclipse Java editor or Notepad++, which has a block
selection mode, too.
