I often created a new member asking for WDSc to open a new member name in
the Ctrl+Shift+A (Open Member in Editor) dialog. When the member doesn't
exist, I'm presented with a dialog box (EVFF5032) asking me if I want to
create the member. In previous versions, I simply said yes and was
presented with the 'New Source Member' dialog where I could supply the
details for the IBM i ADDPFM command. When I completed that dialog and
clicked the 'Finish' button, the member would be added and then opened in
the editor.
Now (since RDi) it seems I have to wait for the member to be added (no
indication is given--it just shows the dialog with no response for a
little bit), then 'Cancel' from the 'New Source Member dialog' to return
to the 'Open Member in Editor' dialog where I can again click 'OK'--then
the member opens. This isn't a terrible thing, but it's not as convenient
nor intuitive as the old way.
Do I need to change something in preferences, should I open a PMR, or
start an RFE?
Thanks,
Michael Quigley
