Something similar hit me on my "upgrade" from RDi 8.0.3
to RDi 9.0.0 earlier this week.

Install Mgr would not install RDi 9.0.0 64Bit
with existing RDi 8.0.3 32Bit

I needed to allow Install Mgr to remove RDi 8.0.3
from my Win 7 64Bit laptop b4 installing 9.0.0

Not what I planned, but no regrets . . .

Subject: [WDSCI-L] DataStudio 4.1 - IM complains about going from 64-bit to 32-bit.

I download the DS 4.1 trial and attempted to install, but I'm getting a message about not being about to change from 64-bit to 32-bit version of Installation Manager.

I didn't see more than one version to download...

I Canceled the DS IM install, and started the pre-existing version of IM that I had installed with RDi 9. I got an error saying IM may not have installed correctly, I told it to ignore by selecting "this package installed correctly" or some such option.

IM showed the DS products as available...I'm running the install now.

It shouldn't be this hard guys.
