I have frequently had the same problem but I have learnt to always do the
save as part of the compile (i.e. Ctl/Shift/C) and then OK the save prompt.
Also I have found that I can get the options back by typing anything (e.g.
a space) into the source window so the editor think s it needs to be saved.

The same thing happens for the Compile and Compile (Prompt) functions.
I am able to get a compile using the Run Compile Command button in the
Editor.Client for System i & iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list
In addition, once this occurs, I lose the all of the User Actions and
Compile functions for any other source type (RPGLE, CLLE, DSPF).
The only way to get the compile options back is to close RDi and start it
again.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
