Thank you Mike, that is exactly the one.

So Doug, we appreciate your feedback that the most pressing of these
limitations to remove is the *LIKE DEFINE.
Any other votes of support before we finish this thread.

Here are the limitations as outlined in the document.

references to conditioning and level indicators are not included
references for DEFINE opcode with *LIKE factor 1 are not included
incorrect data structure length shown when using LIKE on a data structure
using OVERLAY
fields on O spec statements are not included

I would love to hear what people out there consider to be the highest
priority.

Hi Edmund, is this the one you you are thinking of?

ILE RPG Outline limitations with "Update the Outline view when text is
changed in the editor" preference

This is a published limitation. Haven't gotten around to them yet.
If you use the static outline you will get them back.
Mike Hockings, can you post the link to the tech note?

I am using RDI V9.0.0.1. I am working on an RPGIV program that was
converted from RPGIII. I am noticing that any fields defined in the RPGIV
program using the *LIKE DEFINE operation codes (in the C spec), are not
appearing in the Outline view. Any fields that are defined in D specs
appear, as well as fields defined in the C specification (using the Length
and Decimal positions column areas).

Is this a bug, or is RDI supposed to work this way? It is very misleading.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to remedy it?

Thank you,

Doug
