The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

RDz projects are not standard Eclipse projects, but have a different
structure that allows them to perform this locking. Unfortunately this
prevents them from being used easily with Eclipse-based SCMs such as
Rational Team Concert. i Projects are standard Eclipse projects which give
them both this source management capability and the ability to work
offline, but sacrifice this locking capability as a result. It was a
design decision made back about 10 years ago.
It might be possible to add something like this but we've not really had a
request for it. It would, of course, require that you be connected to the
system and would also require a means of breaking the lock if the client
holding it were to be inactive for an extended period of time.
This sounds like a good candidate for an RFE.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] linking iSeries project members to the host
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi all,
I've moved away from the i and gone (temporarily, I hope) on to the z. Or
do I mean from the p to the z? Anyway whatever it's now called. I'm now
using RdZ on the mainframe. Lucky as it seems to be even more rare than
RdP
on the i.
I've been told to create a z-series project for my work rather than open a
member directly in RSE, as they were having stability problems using RSE.
I
rarely did this on the i, only when I was obliged to work offline.
Anyhow, In Rdz, when modifying a z-series project member, the
corresponding
member on the z is locked. After saving, the changes are visible
immediately on the original machine without any manual kind of
synchronisation. Is this feature also available in RdP?
