Hi Jerry,
I can tell you that is not an intentional feature or preference.
I can't reproduce that behaviour myself, I don't know if anyone else on the
list can.
What kind of a PC are you running this on? It sounds like it can't keep up
with rendering the cursor.
Does this still happen if you hit the spacebar or arrow more slowly?
This still doesn't make sense because 9.0 should perform faster and with
less memory than 8.5.1,
If you switch to static outline does the behaviour still happen?
BTW, I expect the arrow keys to perform better than the spacebar, because
the spacebar is actually modifying the source.
In the past, nothing happened until you left the line, but now we update
the outline view on every keystroke that modifies the source.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Staggered Cursor Movement in RDi V9
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Not sure if 'staggered' is the correct term, but while editing an RPGLE
source member (in V9) when I hold down the space bar or an arrow key, the
cursor disappears until I release the key being pressed. This makes it hard
to determine where the cursor actually is.

In my RD1 8.5.1 when I press and hold the space or arrow, I can see the
cursor movement position by position.

In V9, how do I set the cursor to behave like it did in 8.5.1? I've
compared all my editor preference settings and they are identical so that
leads me to believe the setting is under a different preference.
