Hi Michael

I'll play with this a little - sounds like a good idea not to close some stuff needlessly - or lose focus.

Is this happening when you maximize an edit window? All the views end up on the status line and appear only when I click on one, but editor is still visible. Different scenario?

Hi Vern,

The problem I'm experiencing is that in setup RSE, Object Table, and
Commands Log are all set as a fast views. The first time I go to expand
a filter in RSE or work with some group in the Object Table, the
connection is not connected. (Gads that sounds like bad grammar--if
anyone has better terminology to use, please let me know.) Because of
this, the Commands Log fast view opens and the RSE or Object Table
minimize. You have to reopen the RSE or the Object Table to see what you
just asked for. I think it's neither intuitive nor productive.

Like I marked on the RFE, it's only a minor road block to adoption.
Personally, I've gotten used to it. Not that I like it, but I love
working in RDP. However, it gives others who I'm trying to get to switch
(especially die-hard PDM/SEU coders) an excuse to complain/object/etc. and
say, "Why does it disappear? SEU doesn't do that!"

Thanks for thinking about it. I think I have a couple hours to change the
RFE description. Maybe I'll see if I can edit it.

Re: [WDSCI-L] New RFE for default Remote Systems Connection

Hi Michael

I'm not sure I understand this RFE - I've had stuff auto-connect, seems
to me, but I've likely missed something.

Anyhow, I think I'd vote for this if I understood it! Can you expand on
your description, maybe help me know what to look for - what should I
see, for example, in the status line?

Thanks

Vern

Hello,

I've submitted a RFE to add a preference to connections allowing them
to
'Connect' at startup. Take a look and vote for it if you like it.
