Peter,
i have solved your problem. Download the new version 1.1.1 of iSphere and
install it.
On your server execute the following command.
CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QGPL/ISPHERE) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(6) VALUE('V5R3M0')
TEXT('iSphere')
The data area specifies the installed version of the OS. There are other
ways to retrieve the installed OS on the server but all other ways require
special authorities to the user profile you are working with the RSE. To
avoid problems with the authority when retrieving the installed OS i have
choosen the way with the data area in library QGPL.
The creation of the data area is only necessary, if on the server is not at
least V6R1M0 installed.
Let me know, if it now works.
Frank

OK.
The reason is clear. On V5R4 or V6R1 IBM has added a new value "Activation"
to the parameter OBJ of command ADDBNDDIRE. iSphere uses this new value but
OS/400 V5R3 don`t know this value. Therefore the execution of the command on
the server fails.
Give me one day. I will find a solution.

Which version of the operation system (OS/400) do you run on the server?
