Not a dream, Open the Error List view, click the downward pointing
triangle on the right. One of the options is Show Severity.

Yes - they removed the checkmarks! I stumbled over this, as I am not a
visual person. There are now boxes - thin, pastel boxes - drawn around
the selected severities. Here, 'selected' means 'severities to be shown.'
