Tom

I am currently on World 9.1 and am in the process of upgrading to 9.3.
I am a one man show and have been using RDP with JDE World since it was
called WDSC.

For *editing* source code, JDE or custom, there isn't much to be
concerned about when using the modern tooling. Depending on the size of
your programming staff, you may have other concerns in regards to
whatever change management solution you are using and how it would tie
in with RDP versus PDM/SEU, but that's not a problem specific to a JDE
environment.

Now compiling is another matter. If I have customized a base JDE
program, I will pull it up in JDE's SVR tool in order to compile it, due
to JDE's pre-compiler options. I'm sure you could setup some user
actions in RDP to call the J98CRT* programs, I just haven't done it yet.

We are running JDE World 9.2 (possibly going to 9.3) and would like to
migrate from SEU to Rational (RDP/RDG). Has anyone who has done this
give me a list of things that are impacted and need to be addressed to
make this transition ?

Thanks.
