I have two screens at work, and one wide screen at home. On the screens at work, I sometimes change the view into Windowed mode, stretch the window across the two monitors, and then I can have four views of the same object I'm editing (two on each screen) which allows me to position code on three of the four views to specific parts of the program I need to reference while I edit in the fourth view. And on the wide screen at home, I can effectively have three views open. I don't have a need for the full five views that are available, but if the company ever decided to give us a third screen... :)

I have dual monitors, but RDP sits in just one of them. Are there special provisions for dual monitors in RDP (or Eclipse) that you've turned on? If so, please tell!

Using Dual Wide-Screen Monitor, I ALWAYS display the Date, and turn that on in Preferences...
<Big Smile>
Once you go Dual Monitors, there is NO GOING BACK to a single monitor!!!
<Big Smile>
Especially, with RDP, which allows you to use the power of Dual Screens!!!

After reading this entry it reminded me that I don't have date display turned on. I wasn't sure where it was so I opened Windows/Preferences and entered the word date in the filter text box. There were no results found so I had to manually go through the preferences until I found it. Is that the way filtering is supposed to work?
Also curious about whether most people have date display turned on or off.

Finally found (courtesy of a class member) that search by date can be done via Ctrl-Shift-D. Anyone got any idea as to why this is not surfaced anywhere in RDP? Or am I being more dense than usual and just haven't spotted it.

Jon,
As you probably know, there is a partial list of "LPEX Keystrokes" in the Programmers Guide which does not include "find date"
I was able to locate this in RDP Help under:
"Editing RPG, COBOL, CL, C, C++, and DDS members"
in a section called "Keyboard shortcuts"
But, searching on this phrase did not seem to get me there...

I found it under this menu option:
Edit>Find other>Find Date... Ctrl+Shift+D
I forget it all the time, and have to look it up at the menu.
