The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

The Preferences filter seems to work on the text in the tree and certain
seemingly invisible keywords in the settings. I've found that if I don't know
the right filter to get to where I want to go that using it makes it harder to
find a particular setting, not easier. Just my opinion, of course.
My setup defaults to not showing the dates, since I don't need them very often.
When I need to see them for a particular member, I right-click, then choose
Source => Show Date Area.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Search by Date in Editor
After reading this entry it reminded me that I don't have date display turned
on. I wasn't sure where it was so I opened Windows/Preferences and entered the
word date in the filter text box. There were no results found so I had to
manually go through the preferences until I found it. Is that the way filtering
is supposed to work?
Also curious about whether most people have date display turned on or off.
