Gary,
You can Cut & Paste your PDM Option directly into your user-Actions.
<Big Smile> IBM made that EASY!
Not sure if I follow or not....
But, when I create an User-Action, it is available to all the system I have set up...
Sorry, but I guess I don't follow...

Ken,
Thanks for the example, especially the PDM options!
Up to now, I have not used User-Actions and think I should take another look.
My problem is it seems I need to define U-A at the library/folder level, so it looks like I need to dup them for test and prod both at the library level, and, "by definition" at the connection/lpar level ???
For this reason, I have stuck with Preferences/Remote Systems/IBM i/
Command Execution/Object Library = *SRCLIB
Is there a way to define more "global" user actions ?

Inside RDP, I override my object library to my library. A.k.a. the "&O" for User-Actions, and the old PDM options too! They work the same!
So, I override my creation command for CRTSQLRPGI to "TOSRCFILE(&O/QSQLTEMP1)"
My complete override Creation command:
CRTSQLRPGI OBJ(&O/&N) SRCFILE(&L/&F) SRCMBR(&N) OPTION(*EVENTF) REPLACE(&R) DBGVIEW(*SOURCE) TOSRCFILE(&O/QSQLTEMP1)
And my RDP compiles properly, and also shows me information for debug...
See if that works for you! Just be sure to change your default object-library!
Windows>Preferences>Remote systems>IBM i>Command Execution.
Load your Obect Library, instead of the default of *SRCLIB

Well that's interesting. I compiled this program this morning from WDSC, and it failed because the files weren't in QTEMP and it couldn't find the column definitions. It's a severity level 10 message. I changed the GENLVL on the CRTSQLRPGI command (prompted it) and it still failed. Compiled the program from PDM with no errors.

I don't think you need to create the table in qtemp before compiling.
Your can force your program to compile and and it will run. Try it.

I used the CREATE TABLE in QTEMP approach. Works quite well. I like it.
But, when I create my program, I get a bunch of Table QTEMP/blah not
found. Well...yeah, it isn't there.
I guess I need to create the table in QTEMP and then create the
program interactively.
