Hi Frank

Yes RDP 8.5 is based on Eclipse 3.6. A number of reasons for this. We
offered it as an update from 8.0 and so we couldn't switch the Eclipse
level and we also have to stay in synch with our sister products RAD and
Rdz so that we can integrate with each other and mulitply the value you
receive through shared componentry.

We are looking at the 4.x versions for an upcoming major release, so stay
tuned.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDP 8.5 and Eclipse 3.6
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi,

one question to the developers of RDP. Version 8.5 is based on Eclipse 3.6
as Version 8.0 is also based on Eclipse 3.6. In the newer releases of
Eclipse there are so much additional features which makes live much more
easy for plugin developers. Is it possible to deliver in the near future a
RDP version with a more current Eclipse version?

Thanks

Frank
