Just an FYI for those using RDp v8.5 and editing SQLRPGLE source...I just
opened a new PMR. If you are inserting a EXEC SQL statement prior to a
subproc call, use the main editing window!!!
Here is the issue reported:

Problem Details

Product or Service: Rational Developer for Power Systems Software - RPG
and Cobol Development Tools for IBM i 8.5.0

Operating System: IBM i (i5/OS / OS/400)

Problem title
in split view on SQLRPGLE inserting new line error
.
Problem description
when using split view (multiple editing views) if entering EXEC SQL
above a subprocedure in a secondary view the editor scrambles the
following lines of code. when entering EXEC SQL in the "main" view in
single view or multi view editing the editor behaves normally and
simply inserts the new blank line.
this appears to only occur when the EXEC SQL directly precedes a
subprocedure. I was able to duplicate this on several different source
members.
Thanks,
Tommy Holden
