I was able to copy objects between systems in wdsc using this procedure:
1.From the RSE, display the objects in the library containing the files you
want to copy by right clicking on the library - Show in table. You must
use the library from the library list, you cannot use a filter.
2. In the RSE, Expand the library list in the system you want to copy the
files to.
3. Click and drag the file from from the object table to the desired
library in the RSE. A window with a status bar will display until complete.

This worked in WDSC 7 between systems, I guess it will work in 8.5 between
partitions.
