We have MKS. The MKS merge tool fails on >32K records.

I gave my e-mail address to SoftLanding more years ago than I would like
to think about. I don't recall ever receiving any unsolicited e-mail from
them.

That said, the compare works very nicely. Beware that if you open the
compare function for edit (or the merge, if I recall correctly), it will
strip the source change dates from the entire member. It's been many
years since I checked them out, but SoftLanding's merge tool and Aldon's
are much more fully functioned. (I'll bet the MKS merge/compare tool
rocks, too! Is MKS called PTC these days?)

Re: [WDSCI-L] Compare showing sequence number differences

You want to look at this page: http://www.softlanding.
com/Products/TURNOVER-RSE-Extensions.aspx

I always have the Softlanding extensions installed and the compare
option is much better. I haven't tried the merge, but it is there
also. There are one or two other features which are sometimes
useful, as well. Best of all is that the extensions are easy to
install and free (but you have to hand a working email address over,
if that bothers you at all). You do not need any of Softlanding's
other software to use the RSE Extensions.
