Adding hairline and words to the User Commands section did not help. I
tried both action.Class.setDate and just setDate for the "User Key Action,"
and not joy.

Thanks!

I wish the hairline was a preference setting.

Use them by keying the name into the LPEX command line.

Thanks, Matt

Subject: [WDSCI-L] setDate function in RSE 8.0

Looking at the archives and the wiki pages there are some hints about
using
the setDate function to clear the source date for one or more lines of
source code.

I have followed the instructions, but the editor is giving me an error
message the "setDate" is not a valid editor action.

What I did;

Window > Preferences > LPEX Editor > User Actions

Added an entry with actionClass.setDate as the name and
com.ibm.lpex.samples.SetDateAction as the class name.

User Key Actions

added an entry a-f2 as the key and setDate as the action.

All entries are case sensitive, so I hope that I copied them here as
they
actually are in the settings. I have triple checked those values, and
still get the error.

Anyone know what to do to make this work? Or does it no longer work?

Thanks

Jim
