Sean, you are correct.
What I meant by "Block-Copy" is perhaps better phrased as "Box-Copy" . .
Joe, you are right, I will have to master the ALT+R behavior.
After selecting a box of text, ALT+R is the "Box-Select to Copy or Cut"
After positioning to the destination, ALT+Z is the "Box-Paste" function
that I need to master.
And the ALT+F7 and ALT+F8 are useful for "nudging" boxes containing
lists of fields.
As background, the actions in SEU that I use are when running CA/400
emulation and SEU to edit DDS source, there are often lists of fields to
deal with.
Using the mouse to draw a box, or using Shift-Arrow, I can select a box
around sections of text. This box selection is over several lines.
(Like ALT+R in RDp)
Then using the Copy button (or mapped key combo CTL+C), I can place a
copy of the field-names onto the empty REFFLD( ) keywords already
prepared on the right side.
In the same manner, I often use Cut (CTL+X) to nudge boxed sections of
field-names to the right, so I can add prefixes to the field-names.
My complaint is that it would be so much easier to have on the Edit
Menu, a "Paste Options", or "Paste Special", like Microsoft Excel and
Word has.
The menu description of "Edit > Selected > Copy Selection" is confusing,
and should be phrased "Paste Selection" since that is the action done.
Next, I hope to understand what is different when the RDp setup in
Windows > Preferences > LPEX Editor > "lpex" to "seu"

And Block Copy within SEU
That depends on your client. At first I thought you meant CC with B/A
type commands on the left. A reply to your message makes me think you
meant copying text from multiple rows but only some of the columns.
That's something I can't do in xt5250 which is why I've been trying to
get x5250 compiled. But I might be able to get RDP in Linux ;)
