The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Actually the Rational team does not develop iNavigator - there is a
database perspective, but I've found it a bit lacking as to IBM i
support, too.
The database component of Navigator also doesn't quit satisfy me,
either, but it IS more i-specific.
If you want to suggest these things to IBM, go to www.common.org and
click on the Community tab - there you should see a place to enter
requirements for IBM i - you do have to get a COMMON or iSociety user
and password - no problem, you don't need to be a member - it's free.
Then a team of us will bring that over to the CAAC page at IBM, where
that advisory council works with IBM to lobby for things like this.
You might also go to the RFE site for Rational - I forget the link - I
suggest what you said at the end - make a statement processor like that
of Navigator (but better for building statements) as a perspective in
RDi somehow.
