The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I used to turn on column sensitive editing - it seems nice for a while,
but the copy-paste thing got to me a long time ago.
The best thing about column-sensitive editing is that you can insert
within a column - the stuff in the next columns does not move - very
cool, and saves time deleting spaces.
These days I use Ctrl-right-cursor more to move fast across a page, and
I don't have the insert turned on in RPG source of any stripe.
I think the behavior with CSE is not correct all the time - you might
report it as a bug or on the RFE site that has been mentioned here.

Check the preference "Column sensitive editing" under Remote Systems ->
Remote Systems LPEX Editor. Uncheck that option.
