I've finally got the activation jar file for our copies of RDP 8. I put it out on the network with the other RDP install & update files. I applied it to my expired trial version and and RDP 8 works again. Yea!

But how does this licensing work? Lets say I have four seats. I've used up one. How does it know there are three left for the other developers? I mean, I could have walked around with a CD to each machine. It it calling home to IBM?

And when they license their copies, will any of us be able to install and run RDP on our home machines? Because I really would like to use it over the VPN.

Not trying to beat the system. Just asking...

Sam
