Help>Software Updates in WDSC is for installing 3rd party plugins, not WDSC
updates.
Please go to IBM Installation Manager and click Update.

I'm setting up WDSC version 7.0.0 on a PC (Windows XP). iSeries is V5R4.
When trying to update the software (help menu -> software updates) I get a
number of windows asking for download sources (I've tried a couple of
different ones with the same results) then it sits there for a couple of
hours (a status bar on the bottom of the screen does indicate progress) and
then a error window is displayed: "network connection problems encountered
during search". The following lines are displayed in the error details. Am
I missing something in a config? Is there a better way to do updates? Is
this version to old to do updates? Any help would be appreciated.
