RD Power 8.0.3 is a refresh pack.

This means it is a fixpack available to existing customers. For new
customers, they will get a DVD at the 8.0.3 level instead of the 8.0 DVD.
It just makes it easier for new customers since they don't have to update
to get to the latest fixpack.

Thanks,
Eric

Well, I certainly don't *know* for a fact nor where to find the answer, but
that wouldn't make any sense (i.e., that RDp 8.0.3 is a new product) even
using Rational's convoluted logic. Even MS changes the names and/or
version
numbers.

It's 10/14, do you know where your 8.0.3 is?

I picked up an IBM Installation Manager update, but not seeing any RDp
updates. Am really looking forward to this one. I do understand that
sometimes things get delayed, and also that 10/14 has not passed us by
yet. But I've been looking forward to this like X-mas.

However, I can't say I fully understand the Planned Availability Date
wording.
"Passport Advantage(r) October 14, 2011: Electronic and physical
availability"
"Advanced Adminstration System (AAS) October 21, 2011"

Which of those does IBM Installation Manager fall under? I know that's
electronic, however I wasn't sure if it was Passport Advantage or not.

Kurt, I may be wrong but my interpretation is that 8.0.3 is a whole new
product with its attendant Licence charges - not a "free" update to
8.0.0.3.

If I am correct in this assumption, you'll need to (pay), download and
install 8.0.3 from scratch rather than update 8.0.0.3 through Installation
Manager.

Brian.
