"Or do I just toss this and ask my business partner for the newest version
?"
Yes, of course that would be my first suggestion since RDi is not
supported on Win 7
However, to get you going I would suggest two things:
1) The trial license in the RDi install has expired so to get around this
just temporarily set the date on your machine back a couple of years.
After you install and apply your permanent license then correct the date.
2) As with RDp you probably want to start the installer with an
Administrator id and also right click on the installer and select
Run-As-Administrator.

Yes, I know I'm down level. We our Series i, now with HMC and LPARS. I
decided to load the Developer onto my computer. After some issues with
Java, I finally got the installation manager to install and then began
the install of RDi.
After happily chomping thru two CD's, I now have the following errors:
Installation failed.
Error during "install" phase:
Unable to find custom install operation class
"com.ibm.jre.stop.dci.uninstall.StopDCIUninstall" for installable unit:
com.ibm.jre.stop.dci.rac.uninstall
com.ibm.jre.stop.dci.uninstall.StopDCIUninstall
Unable to find custom install operation class
"com.ibm.jre.stop.racservice.uninstall.StopRACServiceUninstall" for
installable unit: com.ibm.jre.stop.dci.rac.uninstall
LUM enablement operation error during install phase for license file
at "C:\IBM\SDP/lum/".
Anyone have any ideas ? I'm installing on a Dell Latitude Laptop, Win
7, 32 bit version. Or do I just toss this and ask my business partner
for the newest version ?
Thanks,
Cyndi
