Yes, I would agree the $886.00 price tag is a bit stiff for that one need. I have always used an alter table statement for the column names. Can you add that statement manually?

I have been using SQL (CREATE TABLE, INDEX, etc.) for a couple of years now to create files, instead of DDS. I have been creating the SQL commands in a source member and using RUNSQLSTM to execute it. I recently began investigating IBM Data Studio to maintain these tables and indexes. So far, I like it with one exception. I can’ t put labels on my columns in my tables. Everytime I try to put a label on a column, I get a window telling me that I need to buy an IBM product called IBM Optim to do this.

Is anyone else using IBM Data Studio? And if you are, are you able to put labels on columns within Data Studio without buying this other product just to do that?

Thanks,
Robert
