A number of folk appear to be ?stuck? on WDSc v7, or forced back on to WDSc when their 60-day trial of RDP ends. Purely out of personal curiosity, what would the price of RDP have to be to encourage you to purchase it yourself?

I'd say $200 - $300 would be reasonable Brian. Zend Studio (which has a very similar level of included customized support and is also based on eclipse) costs $300 quantity 1. If Zend can make a profit at that level why can't IBM? More to the point - if I pay my maintenance subscription I get all future versions I believe. IBM want 3X that amount, make it really really really hard to buy, and do not reveal what I'm getting for the money. For example there have been instances reported when IBM charged again for the product even though the customer had purchased an earlier version with software support.
