I've found this to be an issue with numeric values. If I hit content-assist on a procedure parameter that is zoned and I want to put a packed field there (when the parm has Const specified), I need to type it myself. Similarly, numeric constants often don't come up. I haven't done any analysis testing to identify all of the exact situations, but what you're encountering sounds similar to what I've seen.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Constants not Showing up is Source Prompter
I have some constants in a copybook setup for error codes as used for monitor statements (
https://gist.github.com/1049671). Not a complete list (edit and add if you want), but I add this in many of my programs. The problem is that when I want to add one, I type in "on-error FILE_" and press Ctrl-Space to get my list of options and, most of the time, nothing shows up. I see the fields are in the outline, so I am wondering why they don't always show up.

Any ideas?
