Did you try starting the installer in Win XP compatibility mode?

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Installing CODE on Windows 7: "Windows NT (unknown) . . . is
not supported"
I'm sure I've seen this in the list, but I'm not finding it in the
archives or any other way. I recently received a new Windows 7 PC, but
not yet RDP. That will come when we upgrade from V5R4.
I installed WDSC and CODE on a test Windows 7 machine and after a few
bumps everything worked great. But when I try to install CODE on my
Windows 7 machine, the installer tells me, "JAVA reports Windows NT
(unknown) as the name of your OS. This OS is not supported." The only
option is a cancel button.
What have I forgotten or what could have changed?
