More on this. I finally thought to look at the iSeries Commands Log tab.
In there it had:
FNDSTRPDM STRING(@urgaroi) FILE(ADSGL200/QS36SRC) MBR(*ALL) OPTION(*NONE)
COL(1 *RCDLEN) CASE(*IGNORE) PRTRCDS(*ALL *CHAR) PARM(*EVENTF)
Now where did that PRTRCDS setting come from? The default (on our system,
anyway) is *No *None. I searched the preferences again and I could not find
anything that seemed like it would affect this setting.
