IBM has two ways to buy RDp
1) - many people buy it with the hardware - through the configurator or AAS
2) but contractors like you can't do that, so IBM also offers it through
Passport Advantage. You can even buy it from our website
http://www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/products/rdp/
One advantage of buying it separately from the hardware is that the SWMA
expiry notifications work properly.
I have raised the issue of no SWMA notification for purchases through AAS
with those responsible. They have been aware of it. They tried a
technical workaround but it unfortunately did not work out. They are
exploring other options to solve this problem. I assure you that this was
not done to get more money out of customers. I will let you know when I
have more details of any solution.

Install RDP and then install the 5250 plugin.
You can do SEU and GUI editing right from Eclipse :-)

And is that because getting/installing/learning/using WDSCi RDP itself is
so confusing?
FWIW - once I got my account in the license center it only took me 5
minutes to get and install the license key - so why did Rational think I
needed a 27 page document justto do that?
