Sorry Eric,
But Notepad is nowhere near the editor that SEU is. I am not talking about
RDP though. As a contractor, I don't get to use it. If it had been
introduced correctly, It would probably be used more than it is. Now that
they finally got it working, they put additional charges on using it, and
not very many shops have it or are planning to get it. I am not saying that
I agree with this, just that's the way it is. None of the shops I have been
to in the last 5 years have it.

Tom,

As far as RDP is concerned, each of those IS supported. Screen/Report
designer still needs work, but everything else typically work fine for
me... Even with some issues, I believe RDP to be superior to ADTS.

Not sure if you are serious with the "not as good as SEU" comment. I
hope you were joking, because in most ways, SEU is not as good as
NOTEPAD, let alone a "real" source editor. LPEX works like a champ for
me.

I will agree that the product is NOT easy to get started with, and that
it is sometimes unreliable (flaky, unstable, mysteriously afflicted),
and that obtaining licensing this product is essentially IMPOSSIBLE.

I disagree. I think it is because it is not as good as SEU. It is a
wonderful tool, but they(IBM) went 90% of the way again. Without screen
design, report design, and debug done easily, why would people want to
use
it. You still have to use both.

"The market overwhelmingly prefers SEU."

And is that because getting/installing/learning/using WDSCi RDP itself
is
so confusing?

FWIW - once I got my account in the license center it only took me 5
minutes to get and install the license key - so why did Rational think I

needed a 27 page document justto do that?
