There is also the issue when working with the "In a window" checkbox in Screen Designer. That fix should be out on the next update.

David,
What issue in Screen Designer made you go back to SDA?
The only things I can think of are system menus and ENPTUI keywords (menus, scrollbars, pushbuttons in DDS) There was the issue of sorting fields, but that was added in 8.0.0.1

Edmund,

I too am sorry because I loved using RDPi.
The proof : only hours to go and I'm in Screen Designer right now. Although I'm still having to exit so I can work with SDA and then go back again!

But, if I am honest, I could not say if I was more or less productive because of the hours I spent searching solutions or restarting the workbench.

David,
Sorry to hear of that decision. In the mean time we have shipped one
service release 8.0.0.1 in Dec that may have addressed the bugs you
are referring to. And more service packs are on their way. But to get
these service levels you have to be a paying customer. I hope you are
able to persuade your management to take the leap for the sake of your
productivity and the others on the team.

Amazing!
So now I have shift ctrl F when I'm on the keyboard and wheelUp when
I'm on the mouse!

What a pity that it's my last day with the trial version of Rdp V8.0
I'll be wearing that mouse wheel out whenever possible for the rest of
today.

Tomorrow It'll be back to the Arkansas Chuggabug (WDSc V6.0) I will
miss my user actions and the application diagram that I only recently
discovered.

What a pity about the many bugs and SEP that didn't work. We won't be
buying until the thing works properly. For my part, I can't wait for
the next trial version to come out!

First you need a mouse with a wheel.

Then in RDx it's Window / Preferences / LPEX Editor / User Mouse
Actions.

In here, put wheelDown as the mouse action, select "showAll"
from the Action dropdown list, and click Set.
Then put wheelUp as the mouse action, select "filterSelection" from
the Action dropdown list, and click Set.

Click OK and then, when editing, you can proceed as I
described in the
earlier email.

A while back, Joe Pluta had an article somewhere (don't remember
where) where he told of something he did.

He mapped the following mouse functions:

wheelDown --> showAll
wheelUp --> filterSelection

Then, one can highlight a selection (variable name or any
other text
for that matter) and mouse-wheel-up. Viola. Only the
lines with
that
variable
(or other text) are shown. Mouse-wheel-down and the
entire source
is
shown.
This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but I've
found it to be
very handy.

If it isn't helpful, just ignore this. If it IS
helpful, I can't
take credit anyway. :)

I'm not generally a mouser, but it would be nice to have
this in the
archives or wiki. Could you share the exact mouse event
and action here?
