I find this such a required action that I map it to a
keystroke. On my machine, Alt-Shift-F is filter selection.

Hey, what I like about this is, when you do ctrl w to show all again, and then do ctrl f, the search immediately executes on the search data u just used in the filter selection. Like it does in other eclipse-based editors.
