Hi David,

Using Jim and Joe's examples I mapped Shift-Control-F to
FilterSelection.
So I highlight my mod marker (RR01) and press Shift-Control-F
and only those lines with RR01 appear.

To do this:
Window->Preferences->LPex Editor->User Key-Action. Key = s-c-f and
Window->Preferences->Action =
filterSelection.

I am on Wdsc 7.08 so I'm not sure if it's the same in later versions.

Yup, I like that as well. I use ctrl-shift-F for that

(the action

name is blockFill). It also works for commenting and

uncommenting

blocks of free-form code, something that the free-form RPG editor
doesn't do very well yet. Also, did you know that block

fill works

quite nicely with filter? You can filter a bunch of

lines and then

change only those lines using the block fill.

LOL - I select, then right-click, the type L and F - but I

think I'll

do something like your keystroke. I already have Ctrl-G

for find

selection
- something like that - I think it used to be in the

product but

Eclipse pre-empted it.

Another one I like is filling the selection - I usually

make the

selection, especially something in columns 1-5, then

right-click and

type L and E - cursor moves to command line, where I

type whatever

value to fill with - very nice for marking versions,

anything needing

repeating. But a keystroke would be nice - hmmm!

You can also highlight your selection, (RR01) and right

click on the text

and in the pop up box chose selected>> filter

selection. That will show

you all lines with the selected text.
