Yup, December 3rd it is. And as I noted in my earlier email, the new RBD is truly a huge leap ahead, primarily from the Rich UI standpoint. If you've ever used the thin client tooling, that's what we get in Rich UI now. I'm writing up my first take right now.

As to RDi-SOA, though, it's just not a fit for the current "componentized" marketing of Rational. I'm still hoping they deliver some sort of pre-packaged RDi-SOA set of components, but I'm not optimistic. And if they don't, I don't know how you will move from RDi-SOA licenses to the componentized equivalent.

Joe

Joe,

No joy for RDI-SOA licensees, as far as I can tell. RBD 8.0 won't be released until December 3rd.

It's likely that you'll have to download the two components of RDi-SOA and assemble them yourself. That would be RDP 8.0 and RBD 8.0. As far as I can tell, RDi-SOA as a prepackaged entity may not be offered. I have no idea what the licensing issues will be.
