Client Access has been available for some time as an rpm (Redhat Linux). I have used that on SUSE, as well as using alien to convert that rpm to a deb (Debian/Ubuntu Linux). So, just because they are *supporting* or *endorsing* one particular release should not prohibit us from successfully installing and using it on another. Once it's out, I'm sure there will be instructions made by someone here as to how to get the program and its dependencies all set up and running smoothly.

I would not take their statement of 'support' as a statement of 'capability'.

Shrug... it sounds like they only support Red Hat Enterprise and SUSE
Enterprise. I don't know anyone who runs those particular flavors of
Linux, so I'm really struggling to see the point behind this Linux support.

I mean.. Red Hat?! Really?! Did we flash back to 2001?

I don't think IBM gets it.
